ME 2012 post show


As the AEC is near, manufacturers are in preparation to handle the new level of opportunities, challenges, and fiercer competitions; there are many questions they need answers for. Organized by Reed Tradex during June 21-24 at BITEC, Bangkok, Manufacturing Expo responded to those needs and questions with the latest machinery, technologies, tools, parts, and solutions as well as knowledge and networking opportunities. 



















 


26% Bigger. More Comprehensive Range of Technologies for Auto-Parts Making.

The event was the center of a comprehensive range of technologies--including machine tools, metrology technologies, plastics injection machinery, factory automation, and many others--for manufacturing every type of auto parts. Innovations from 30 countries as well as pavilions from China, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and Vietnam, were on exhibit. It was the first overseas exhibition that Vietnam Government supported local parts makers to exhibit in.

Manufacturers and industrialists from 14 countries participated, marking 5% growth of visitor number when compared to last year. It is expected that the event has generated five billion baht (USD 164 million) worth of investment in Thailand.
It was a rare gathering of industry leaders. Officially opened by Thailand’s Industry Minister, it welcomed A-list executives such as Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Transport; Secretary General of Thailand Board of Investment; Vice Chairman of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd.; President and Chief Representative for ASEAN & South Asia of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO); President of Alliance for Supporting Industry Association and Thai Tool and Die Industry Association;  President of Thai Subcontracting Promotion Association; President of Thai Autoparts Manufacturers Association; and many more.

Industrialists learned how to upgrade production line and work effectiveness, while expanding business network, from know-how shared by industry icons and technology experts in such seminars as “Automotive Summit,” “Surface & Coating Forum,” “Engineer Master Class,” and 50 other seminars.


First Time in Asia. NAO Intelligent Humanoid Robot.

The event’s participants experienced the future of automation by meeting “NAO,” the next generation of humanoid robot from Europe, performing while inspiring the industry with its face and voice recognition software and more.
