Biodegradable Blown Film Machine
Biodegradable PLA/PBAT blown film machines are extrusion lines engineered to process compostable and bio-based resins into thin, flexible film. PLA offers stiffness and clarity while PBAT adds flexibility and toughness, and the two are commonly blended for film applications. These materials behave differently from conventional polyethylene: they are moisture-sensitive, have narrower processing windows, and require suitable screw design, accurate temperature control, and sufficient melt strength for stable bubble formation.
Applications include compostable shopping bags, garbage and food-waste bags, produce and bakery bags, courier bags, and agricultural mulch film, driven by tightening regulations on single-use plastic bags and growing demand for sustainable packaging. Machines designed specifically for these resins help manufacturers avoid common problems such as material degradation, unstable bubbles, and inconsistent film thickness.
