Who Can Help Us?

In October 2024, a printing company in Türkiye wrote to us about adding two presses to its print shop. A month later, the same buyer wrote again. The company already printed flexible films; now it wanted to make the film itself, on a five- to seven-layer blown film line. In April 2025, the question was a complete film line, from blowing to printing to cutting. In May 2025, a line for shrink film.
Four letters in seven months, from more presses to making its own film.
We get a lot of letters like this from Türkiye, about a product the buyer has not made yet.
Visitors to this show are looking too. In the organizer's survey at Plast Eurasia 2024, 78% of the visitors surveyed said they came to see what's new, and 65% came to meet new suppliers.
Where new lines come from
A textile manufacturer wanted to start making wallpaper. "All equipment we would like to buy," they wrote. "Who can help us?" Later that year, they were back, asking about a line for vinyl table covers.
A large maker of disposable plastic cups and plates had already bought paper cup machines from three countries. Its letter was about the next piece: a flexo press with up to seven colors, 1.2 meters wide.
A toy company in Ankara had a new project, sticky stretch toys, and one problem. It could not find the TPR material it needed in Türkiye.
An investment company moving into footwear asked for a complete sports shoe assembly line, one million pairs a year. Among its questions: what factory layout would we recommend, and how much floor space would it take?
What they wanted to know
Each of them also asked about price, alongside questions like these:
How many machines will be enough?
A bottle packaging plant asked this about blow molding machines, and told us how it would run: 20 hours a day, 300 days a year.
Can we get three reels at once?
Writing in Turkish, a film buyer wanted to slit 8.7 cm strips three at a time, and asked for the smallest machine that could do it.
If we set the film at 30 microns, how much will it vary?
The printing company from the start of this story asked this in its second letter, while it was planning to make its own film.
Can I visit your factory?
The general manager of an Istanbul rubber company, asking about a heavy-duty kneader, offered to visit the factory if needed.
Before the show
Last December, specifications for a blow molding machine reached us from an automotive parts maker, with a note that the buyer would be visiting Plast Eurasia on the Thursday of the show.
PRM-TAIWAN connects buyers around the world with makers of plastics and rubber machinery. If you are planning a new line, send us the details, before the show or after it. We'll show you which makers on PRM-TAIWAN build the machines for it.
A day in Türkiye, from our inbox
Things Turkish factories wrote to us about between July 2024 and September 2026, in the order you might meet them in a day.

10:00 Walnuts and cashews in a square-bottomed pouch, from a buyer looking for the machine to pack them.

Each line on this list began as a letter to PRM-TAIWAN.
