Pass Card has been developing PET preform molds since 1999. The range covers small neck, wide neck and 5-gallon preform molds, with multi-cavity designs such as 72, 64 and 48 cavities. Small neck preform molds use Pass Card's valve gate hot runner design and guarantee a preform wall thickness concentricity of ±0.075 mm (L = 100 mm). The mold base is PDS-5 (P-20) high-grade tooling steel (HRC 27–35), the core and cavity are Swedish ASSAB STAVAX-420 hardened stainless steel (HRC 50–52), and 80% of the components can be replaced on the injection molding machine.
