I Saw It in Their Factory, Then I Saw It at K 2025: Why the Kung Hsing KS-ML7-55 Was My 'Machine of the Show'

You can read about sub-3% tolerance in a brochure, or you could see the proof running live at the Kung Hsing booth in Hall 16. For those who saw it, the experience cut through the noise of the show.

Düsseldorf, Germany – Amidst the noise and spectacle of K 2025, it was easy to get lost in a sea of impressive machinery and bold claims. But every now and then, you find a demonstration that cuts through the noise. I found one of those in Hall 16, at the Kung Hsing booth (C18).

A few weeks ago, I had a preview of their new KS-ML7-55 7-Layer Blown Film Line at their factory in Taiwan. I was impressed then, but seeing it running live on the show floor was a whole different level.

The Ultimate Test: A View From the Top

I remember the team telling me about their average film thickness tolerance—under 3%. At their factory, they had me climb to the top of the machine while it was running to prove its stability. What I saw then was a flawless, glass-like film bubble being born.

What was truly remarkable is that they replicated that exact same operational perfection right there, in the middle of a bustling exhibition hall. That’s not just a demo; that’s confidence.

The Symphony of Seven Extruders

The foundation for this performance started with the seven newest-generation extruders that formed the heart of the system. At the booth, visitors could see the setup and understand how each precision instrument contributed to the final, complex 7-layer structure. It was a masterclass in co-extrusion engineering.

Maximum Flexibility: From Standard to Specialty Materials

The team at the booth was eager to explain how this stability applies across a massive range of materials. This machine is a true workhorse, built to reliably process everything from your standard LDPE, HDPE, and PP for industrial films, to the sensitive, high-value barrier resins like PA and EVOH needed for advanced food and medical packaging. It’s the kind of versatile, all-in-one solution that modern production lines demand.

A Partnership Beyond the Machine

Another key conversation at the booth was about their "digital lifeline". They demonstrated how their engineers back in Taiwan can remotely access machine data to help customers troubleshoot and maximize uptime. It’s a powerful testament to their commitment to long-term partnership.

My verdict from that factory visit was confirmed live, every single day in Düsseldorf. The sub-3% tolerance wasn't just a number on a wall ; it was the consistent, high-quality film visitors could see being produced.

The KS-ML7-55 was one of the most impressive displays of engineering at the show. For those who saw the stability for themselves, it was an unforgettable demonstration.
K 2025 has concluded, but the industry's drive for innovation is non-stop. We look forward to seeing what new advancements are in store—see you at the next K Show!
