Arburg signs training pact with Taiwan university

German injection moulding machine maker Arburg has announced a cooperative deal with Taiwan’s Ming Chi University of Technology.

The deal was brokered with help from C&F Corporation, which has represented Arburg since the 1970s, the equipmwent manufacturer said in a statement.

Under the agreement, which was finalised at last month’s Tiapei Plas trade show in Taipei, Ming Chi plans to use Arburg machines for education, training and research, especially in medical moulding technology.

Arburg and C&F staff will help train Ming Chi students and plans to recruit from Ming Chi engineering graduates.     

The deal strengthens Arburg’s ties with Taiwanese industry, the company said, as Ming Chi already worked closely with Formosa Plastics Group, Taiwan’s biggest industrial organisation.
