Plastivision India 2013 – Exclusive Interview Video

This year Plastivision India is the 9th exhibition which is held every three years, and become a great event in this industry. India market is a remote area, and the technology is not as high as Europe, however, the potential in plastic industry is unquestionable. The consumption of plastic in India has reached to 10 million for the past 65 years, and is expected to grow to another 10 million in the coming 6 to 7 years to reach the target of 20 million. Such a big growth rate attracts many international companies to enter the India market.

At this stage of India, depreciation of currency makes the prices increasing, and the currency is very unstable. Therefore, many India companies are afraid of importing machinery because of the unstable currency. The organizer tells us that this is the best time for foreign companies establishing factories in India for saving the taxes of transportation and the worry of currency.

In recently years, India starts to focus on establishing the local brands for protecting domestic brands. Furthermore, the India government has used high duty to boycott the China machinery, and this policy benefits Taiwan machinery companies also.

Ferromatik Milacron is one of the leading manufacturers of injection molding machine in India. Unlike other companies using the low price for attracting customers, Ferromatik Milacron focuses on developing solution, and brainstorming with customers for finding the best solution. This time Plastivision India, Ferromatik Milacron uses marketing strategy for attract more visitors. Most of national visitors are from Mumbai and New Delhi, and the international visitors come from Africa, Middle East and Europe. In this exhibition, it demonstrates the latest technology which can save the manpower and time cost at the same period. Ferromatik Milacron tells us the target of 2014 is to improve the production capacity and enhance it up to 125%.

Rajoo starts the business by making small production line, and keeps improving the technology. Therefore, we can see Rajoo is able to provide 7-layer blow film machine, 5-layer sheet production line and thermoforming machinery. Furthermore, it also has cooperation with HOSOKAWA of Germany, BAUSANO&FIGLI of Italy and COMMODORE of USA. The export countries are Mexico, Columbia, UK and Germany and the export is growing 40 to 45%. For Rajoo, the marketing strategy is satisfying the market demand and expanding the factories. The president is very positive about the future of India market, and predicts that in the coming 2 years, the market will grow very fast. Let’s see the point of view of Rajoo.

Toshiba Machine is a manufacturer of injection molding machines and automation machines, and have cooperated with German company, Demag. With many year experiences, the technology is getting better, and it establishes its own brand which has won good reputations. Since Toshiba Machine is a very big company, it has its factories in Japan, China, Thailand and India, in order to provide Asia, America and Europe market. Toshiba Machine notices that North of America has a huge demand of hydraulic injection molding machine, therefore it decides to position the India factory as a key to enter the America market.



D&M Enterprises ─ General Manager ─ M. Uday Kumar


The Taiwan brands which D&M Enterprises represents are TKC, FCS, Techmation and DER GANG etc., and this time, the vertical injection molding machine of TKC and the horizontal injection molding machine of FCS are demonstrating in the Plastivision 2013. They all perform very well by the support of D&M. D&M has six feature machines of TKC in India, and the standard type machine is directly produced in the local factory. It wants to provide the complete injection molding machine for all customers. This time, it also demonstrates FCS machine which is very popular in the market. D&M establishes a headquarter office in the Chennai, India, and build a very strong service team to provide better and in-time service for clients. Reifenhäuser/ E3 Plastech Marketing Pvt.Ltd ─ Managing Director─Manish Meht

This time in Plastivision India, we are very glad to interview E3, the agency brand of Reifenhäuser Group. E3 tells us that it has a very high expectation on the India market in the beginning, but the lacking of local support becomes a huge issue of business. Therefore, it decides to bring the application and service into this industry, and share the experience also. E3 is aware of the main market demand is high speed thermoforming machine, such as PVC woven and PP sheet. E3 sets up a target of growing the market share from 40% to 45% in the future. Manish tells us that the technology of Taiwan, Korea and China is as good as Europe, and thinks these countries are worthy investing in.

We are very honor to interview Kevin, the Area Sales Manager of Chen Hsong Group to share his point of view about the India market. Kevin tells us that the GDP and the quality of India both are growing, and they are preparing to enter the market of automotive parts, medical parts and packaging. The machine demonstration is divided into two parts: High Performance Machine and Economic Model Machine. These two models are both energy-saving machine.
